Access
The machine needs a way in wide enough for it, and enough height to pass under cables, balconies and branches. If the street is narrow, tell us when you call.
Ground
Firm, reasonably level ground is best. Soft ground, fresh fill and slopes limit what is safe. If the ground is poor, tell us.
Space for the load
Plan where the load will be placed, at the truck and at the top. Clear that spot of people, tools and rubbish before the lift.
Overhead hazards
Check for power lines and cables above the path of the boom. If there are any, tell us before we come.
Safety on the day
- Keep people away from the machine and the load
- Have one person who directs the lift at the drop point
- Have the pallets ready and strapped
- If the work is on a public road, check whether your municipality requires a permit
